Fortum signs EUR 1.2 Billion Credit Facility
Fortum Oyj has today signed a EUR 1.2 billion revolving
credit facility. Since the deal was significantly
oversubscribed from its initial launch amount of EUR 1
billion it was increased to EUR 1.2 billion.

This five-year facility is for general corporate purposes
and replaces existing syndicated facilities established by
various subsidiaries. The arrangement is a further step in
the development of Fortum’s financing structure, which was
started in connection with the credit ratings in autumn
2002. It will serve as the core syndicated revolving
facility for Fortum Oyj and comprises its main banking
relationships.

The mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners for the
transaction are ABN Amro Bank N.V., Barclays Capital,
Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Nordea.

The other banks participing in the arrangement are: BNP
Paribas, Citibank International plc, Crédit Agricole
Indosuez, Danske Bank A/S, Den norske Bank ASA, Deutsche
Bank AG, Fortis International Finance, HSBC Bank plc,
Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ), Svenska
Handelsbanken AB (publ), Swedbank (FöreningsSparbanken AB
(publ)), Bank Brussels Lambert S.A./N.V., Morgan Stanley
