Invitation to press and telephone conferences on 21 October 2010                

Fortum Corporation will publish its third quarter 2010 interim report on        
Thursday 21 October 2010, at about 9.00 EETS.                    
                
A press conference (in Finnish) will be held at 11.00 EETS in the auditorium of 
our head office, Keilaniementie 1, Espoo. The press conference will be webcasted
on our Finnish-language website. A buffet lunch will be served after the press  
conference.      
                                                               
An international teleconference for analysts and investors will be
