Foxway acquires Romanian tech company ABD and accelerates European expansion

Foxway welcomes the Romanian company All Birotic Devices Trade & Service S.R.L. (ABD) to Foxway. With ABD’s tech center, Foxway strengthens its position in Europe and increases its capacity to meet the growing demand for reused computers refurbished to premium, top-quality standards.

Demand for circular tech solutions is growing rapidly, as more and more companies across Europe are seeking sustainable options without compromising on quality and security. In 2023, Foxway launched a range of premium-refurbished reused computers, with product standards, warranty, and support comparable to buying new. Since then, Foxway has collaborated with the Romanian tech company ABD to repair tech devices to top-quality standards- an ongoing partnership that has now resulted in the acquisition.

“We are very pleased to welcome ABD to Foxway. The acquisition is an important step in our continued European expansion, and with ABD’s tech center we strengthen our capacity to deliver more premium-refurbished computers to the market, with the quality, security, and performance our customers expect,” says Patrick Höijer, CEO of Foxway.

The acquisition is an important part of Foxway’s long-term strategy
The acquisition is part of Foxway’s long-term ambition to build a stronger European infrastructure for circular tech, enabling more devices to be repaired, upgraded, and returned to the market. Foxway already extends the lifespan of millions of tech devices each year through refurbishment, repair, and reuse - reducing climate impact, as the majority of emissions occur during the production stage.

“We clearly see how the market is changing. Companies no longer want to choose between sustainability and quality- they expect both. With the acquisition of ABD and their tech center, we strengthen our presence in Europe and can further accelerate our premium offering of used computers,” says Patrick Höijer.

As part of the transaction, the seller will reinvest a portion of the proceeds in Foxway as part of a joint effort to continue strengthening and expanding ABD’s current operations.
