Frames Bowling Lounge Declares Its Billiards Lounge the Coziest Spot for an Intimate Date
New York, NY, Feb. 1, 2013-- Possessing all the Key Ingredients for a romantic night out, the new billiards lounge at Frames is the latest in rustic and romantic. The Cue features mood lighting, intimate private seating areas and a chef’s menu bursting with aphrodisiacs from Oysters to Foie Gras.
The plush new Billiards Lounge, aptly named THE CUE, visually resembles a cross between a rustic suburban den, and an intimate ski lodge, and has opened this month inside Frames Bowling Lounge. Located at 550 9th Avenue, Frames has long been a staple of midtown, after taking over Leisure Time Bowl 4 years ago and completely reinventing themselves. The popular bowling lounge has managed to turn the carefree sport of bowling into an upscale night out, by curating striking new artwork and hiring a brand new chef, Miguel Rosado, who has worked in the finest kitchens from Dovetail to Cafe Boulud.
The Billiards space at Frames is both cozy and elegant, with an expansive beer and wine selection, diverse appetizers and locally sourced Blue Point oysters served every Monday for just $1. The menu features American fare with an upscale twist; the chef plays with your taste buds and features the signature burger on airy slices of focaccia bread, serving it up with melted fresh mozzarella over a thick juicy beef patty seasoned to perfection. Sides include deep fried avocado and zucchini wedges and a fresh market salad.
The lounge is somewhat of a throwback to reliving one's childhood, with 3 large TVs, 2 Pool Tables, Board Games and a Foosball Table. This is, after all, a Billiards Bar. A little bit of cheesy is appropriate.
And if that isn't enough to draw a Valentines couple into an intimate cozy corner, the charming staff will be there to remind you that use of the Billiards tables are complimentary. Every night.
