Frames Bowling Lounge Gives Out Complimentary Water in Bryant Park as the Heat Index Soars in NYC
As the temperature climbed to 92 degrees, the marketing team at Frames were out in full force on Thursday afternoon, handing out hundreds of bottles of water to local passersby out on their lunch breaks.
May 31, 2013 New York, NY-- The recent heat wave in NYC has everyone grumbling and hoping to avoid bumping into sweaty exposed body parts on the busy streets of midtown.
Frames Bowling Lounge took advantage of the rising heat index to show New Yorkers a little bit of love.
They set up a makeshift water station, and handed out hundreds of cold bottles of water to locals rushing by. From corporate executives in suits on their way to meetings, to parents walking the city with their kids, employees out to pick up a quick lunch, and even the occasional delivery guy or cabdriver leaning out of his moving vehicle, Frames found a way to rack up some major points with locals in an effort to help people deal with the oppressing heat.
The sponsored water bottles were an unexpected and welcome treat, and the team quickly ran out of the dozens of cases of branded bottles they had hauled over to hand out. Along with the water, they gave out sunglasses and gift cards featuring 1-Hour Free Bowling at Frames.
