100 Percent Hold Baggage Screening Soon to be Implemented at Frankfurt Airport Frankfurt, Germany (ots) - From next January, the European Union requires all European airports - including Frankfurt Airport - to screen all hold baggage before loading, as part of tighter security. This requires installation of additional baggage X-ray machines and may result in longer waiting times. As of January 1, 2003, passengers are, therefore, advised to arrive at the airport a little earlier and allow some extra time for check-in until the new procedures are routine. The additional X-ray machines will be installed in front of the check-in counters in both terminals at Frankfurt Airport. ots Original Text Service: Fraport AG Internet: http://www.presseportal.de Press Contact: For More Information, Please Contact: Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide Attn: Robert A.
