The Williams-Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Bearizona, Drive-thru Wildlife Park, and the Grand Canyon Railway, present the 2012 Alpine Harvest Festival, Saturdays and Sundays in October.

Stop in Williams to celebrate autumn in the pines. Ride the Pumpkin Patch Train to the secret pumpkin patch and pick your very own pumpkin to decorate, visit Bearizona for a Howly, Growly, Owly Fest, vote for your favorite scarecrow contest and participate in interpretive presentations at the Williams and Forest Service Visitor Center.

The Grand Canyon Railway's Pumpkin Patch Train will delight the entire family beginning with the opportunity for children and parents to pick their special pumpkins at a secret pumpkin patch, only accessible by train. Ride aboard a historic rail car through the countryside where you'll de-board the train and enjoy Fall in a festival-like atmosphere. Kids (and their parents) are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Bearizona's Howly, Growly, Owly Fall Festival includes the Howl-o-ween Express, a romping ride in a windowless bus through the animal enclosures, a haunted bear cave and daily Owly Raptor shows.

Public Lands Interpretive Association in cooperation with the Kaibab National Forest will be hosting a series of events on Saturdays in October including: a story hour for children; a guided walk through Williams to view and identify native plants and their harvest of seeds; a talk about the original Williams Mountain Man, Ol' Bill Williams, and a celebration for the naming of the mountain. All events begin at the Williams-Forest Service Visitor Center.

Straw-bale mazes, great food at local restaurants, leaf peeping on Bill Williams Mountain. If you are looking for entertainment with the kids or just the adults, Williams has what you are looking for. Taste the Grand Canyon Brewery's latest brew or sip Grand Canyon Winery's luscious wines as you enjoy a delicious meal in one of many restaurants. Indulge yourself at one of seven B and B's. Williams also boasts 30 hotels with room rates for every price range.
