BlueLabs named development partner by ITbuilder M.I.M.T., a new venture established by ITbuilder and BlueLabs, has signed a cooperation agreement on the development of products and services in mobile instant messaging, i.e. chat, text, voice and image communication for future mobile networks. The venture capital firm ITbuilder AB has established M.I.M.T. AB (Mobile Instant Messaging Technology) and selected the technology consultant BlueLabs as a development partner for the products and services M.I.M.T. offers. The combination of BlueLabs' technical competence in messaging and wireless communication and ITbuilder's experience as a driver of new businesses creates an excellent foundation for commercial success. "BlueLabs in Malmö is specialized in the area of messaging and mobile services," notes Paul Rosengren, President of BlueLabs South AB. "It is therefore very challenging to work together with ITbuilder to develop a unique, exciting product for operators and businesses." Discussions have progressed well with both customers and hardware suppliers, and interest in the product has been great. A pilot version will be launched in late September. "More and more people are adapting to a mobile lifestyle," says Alexander Georgsen, Business Manager at ITbuilder. "We are already sending over 16 billion SMS messages every month - a figure that is expected to continue to rise. Instant messaging is the next service to take over after SMS, and we at ITbuilder are happy to be able to participate in developments at this early stage."
