Collins & Aikman Awards International IT Operation to Frontec Collins & Aikman, one of the world´s leading automotive suppliers with locations in 12 countries, has outsourced the support of its EDI system in Europe to Frontec Network Services. Collins & Aikman has long worked with Frontec in the area of consultancy services and the development of AMTrix. This collaboration has now been developed into total responsibility for the monitoring of and the further development of the EDI system for managing order information. The system has been implemented for the Spanish, Austrian, Belgian, German, Swedish and English markets. "The EDI system is the core of our time-critical activities. Normally, from the time the order is received via EDI, just 4 hours elapse before the component is on the assembly line.
