IT consultant Mandator signs a three-year partnership agreement with Sandvik System Development, a part of the Sandvik engineering group. The agreement is expected to generate some 50,000 consultancy hours a year.

"This is further proof of Mandator's strategically strong position within the industrial sector," comments Anders Velander, Acting CEO, Mandator.

One reason for Mandator being selected as a key supplier is the company's solid operational and technological expertise regarding Sandvik. Mandator's status as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner also contributed to Sandvik System Development's decision.

"Such a long-term agreement and such close collaboration create value for both parties in the shape of quality and cost-efficiency," continues Velander. "Market demand for optimisation remains high and Mandator is ready to fulfil this need."

"The agreement shows that Sandvik appreciates the high quality service our employees provide," says Bosse Andersson, Unit Manager for Mandator Gävle. "With this agreement on the books we can use the next few years to focus on optimisation and raising quality and expertise to the next level. We'll also continue with our Microsoft endeavour and offer our services to more major businesses in the region."

The agreement with Sandvik encompasses systems development and project management within AS/400 and the Microsoft platform.

Sandvik is a high-tech engineering group offering advanced products and holds world-leading positions in selected fields. The group has 38,000 employees, is represented in 130 countries and generates annual sales of around SEK 55 billion.

In the latter part of 2005 Mandator signed a similar partnership agreement with Volvo Car.
