Mandator is to strengthen its IT offering within risk management and information security through a collaborative agreement with Amentor AB concerning the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (S-Ox).

"This collaboration provides Mandator and Amentor with Sweden's possibly strongest and most well grouped S-Ox expertise. We will also recruit new employees within this field," says Helen Fredin, Business Unit Manager at Mandator Göteborg. "As an EU directive concerning similar legislation can most likely be expected during 2006, we predict a bright future for this IT area."

"Mandator has a strong brand and is an innovative player within the consulting field. Mandator's strong position in Scandinavia provides us with many opportunities for new business within S-Ox and Information Security," says Jimmie Larsson, Information Officer at Amentor AB.

During 2004, Mandator and Amentor have had a number of consultants stationed in key positions within one of Sweden's largest companies with the task of securing S-Ox compliance within operations. This work has entailed introducing the processes, tools and manual routines required to fulfil the legislation and to show compliance.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 was established so that companies shall prove that their financial processes and checks are identified, documented and tested. This guarantees that the profits the company reports to the market are correct. Swedish companies currently listed on American stock exchanges must comply with S-Ox as of the year 2005.
