Göteborgs-Posten has chosen Mandator to supply a new IT infrastructure based on Microsoft solutions.

During the spring, Göteborgs-Posten will upgrade its IT environment with Microsoft Server 2003 and Exchange 2003. Microsoft's directory service Active Directory is also part of the migration project. The project is scheduled to be completed during autumn 2005. The new solution will provide Göteborgs-Posten with a more efficient central administration for its IT infrastructure as well as increased security.

"We are pleased and proud to be entrusted with the contract for this project", says Jan Stenhoff, head of Mandator's specialist Infrastructure unit in Göteborg. "We have carried out several similar projects, though this is somewhat a pioneer project in the media industry as Macintosh environments are most commonly used in the media world".

"The project is comprehensive and very important for us", comments Malin Stoldt, project manager at Göteborgs-Posten. "We chose Mandator as they have demonstrated a high level of competence and have substantial experience of this type of project. With Mandator's expertise we feel confident that the project and the resultant changes will be implemented in the best possible way".

Mandator will implement the project in close cooperation with Microsoft.
"We feel that this is a very exciting opportunity to be able to work closely with a type of client with whom Microsoft has not traditionally done much business", states Claes Dahlstrand, sales manager for medium-sized companies at Microsoft. "The media branch has a completely different IT tradition so it will be great to have the chance to demonstrate what we can do in this area too".
