Mandator is among the five IT companies selected by SMHI in its general agreement procurement procedure. The agreement runs until 30 June 2009, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
The areas of expertise covered by the agreement are Business Development and Strategy, Project Management, System Development, System Administration and Infrastructure.

The primary criteria used in SMHI's selection process were competence, working methods and costs.

"We look forward to contributing to the use of IT in the continued optimisation and refinement of SMHI's operations over the coming years," says Anders Velander, Head of Sales at Mandator. "This year we have signed several general agreements in the public sector and can surmise that Mandator's combination of technical expertise and business know-how is in great demand."

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, or SMHI, is an agency operating under the Swedish Ministry of Sustainable Development. SMHI has some 550 employees and an annual turnover of about SEK 530 million.
