Swedish state property company, Vasallen, has chosen Mandator's project management tool, CENIT. The deal is worth approx. SEK 1.1 million.

CENIT will be used as a complete tool for managing Vasallen's projects, including construction, conversions, and extensions. Implementation will start right away. It is estimated that the final operational installation will take place in the middle of 2005.

CENIT will give Vasallen simpler and better financial management of ongoing projects, plus the opportunity for swifter and more accurate forecasts. The entire group will do its accounting in one joint system, meaning greater opportunities for analysis and follow-up of the operation.

"Over a period of time, we have been looking for a project follow-up and management system, and we consider that CENIT meets our requirements as an active support to our project management. The opportunity to make project administration work more efficient, and raise the quality of our forecasts were two crucial points in our assessment of various systems," says Charlotta Westerberg, Controller of Vasallen.

"Vasallen has done highly painstaking evaluation work in choosing a system, so it is with no small amount of pride that we present this deal," says Anders Jacobson, Head of CENIT. "Vasallen also has a solid reputation in the business. We also held discussions with other companies in the same field of business as Vasallen, and this deal will probably increase their interest in CENIT."

Vasallen is a state company whose task it is to convert and develop disused barracks and other defence buildings into lively, attractive districts with new business. Development and investment is conducted within such areas as training, offices, service, dwellings and industry. Vasallen currently has operations in 13 areas in Sweden.

This is the second major CENIT deal for Mandator in a short space of time. In October, Vägverket Produktion chose CENIT as a complete project management tool for 500 users.
