FarmPharma AB wants to solve the antibiotics crisis - raises funds on FundedByMe
Antibiotic resistance is a growing problem that takes more than 700 000 human lives annually. An essential way of decreasing resistance is to stop feeding livestock with antibiotics. FarmPharma is the only product on the market that gives prevention and treatment of infections without antibiotics. Now the company launches a crowdfunding on FundedByMe.
— Continuous spread of antibiotic resistant bacterias is a known threat to public health and we are glad to develop a product that will enable a drastic decrease in antibiotic use. Something that can diminish the threat, says Igor Lokot CEO of FarmPharma.
FarmPharma is an affiliate company of Double Bond Phamaceutical and they are launching their crowdfunding campaign to further finance product-development. The company will be active in the field of development and distribution of veterinary products and their first product is for prevention and treatment of viral and bacterial infections in cattle.
—The product will not only decrease the use of antibiotics, it is also sustainable and has a great market value, says Igor Lokot.
The product is identical to animal’s own defense called interferon and is a natural way of improving their immune system without antibiotics. The product also increase production and reduce costs, but the main aim is to slow down the crisis.
The campaign is launched today, 20th of June, with a goal to reach 0,49 million € in invested means.
