FundedByMe and Tario signs LOI (letter of intent): Will develop a feature for a secondary market for unlisted private Swedish companies that have completed an equity crowdfunding*

FundedByMe signs a letter of intent with Tario to develop a feature for a secondary market for shares in unlisted private Swedish companies. The intention is to offer this feature for investing members on the platform shortly.

The function will be developed in collaboration with Tario, an entrepreneurial company, which is currently running a public crowdfunding campaign on FundedByMe.com. Tario already has a solution for companies that are Euroclear affiliated, and will together with FundedByMe also offer a service for unlisted Swedish private limited companies.

The demand for a secondary market for unlisted shares has been high among investing members since the first investments in unlisted companies was made in 2013, on the platform through equity crowdfunding.

“We believe that the collaboration creates significant synergies and contributes to a solution for a need we know exists. We also believe that this feature will help lower the threshold for both retail and professional investors to invest in unlisted shares,” says Tarek Fakredin E, CEO of Tario AB.

“There are several challenges of offering a so-called secondary market. On the one hand, you want to solve the need to be able to buy or sell shares in unlisted companies, and on the other to comply with applicable legislation, while also taking the situation and status of entrepreneurial companies in their life cycle into account. Simply copying methods and conditions from the listed environment and applying it to unlisted companies is not optimal, one must instead have the vision and ambition to be able to do better. We hope that this collaboration can result in the development of our product, which will benefit both client companies and investor members as well as lead to more and bigger investments,” says Daniel Daboczy, CEO FundedByMe.

About Tario
With over 10 years of experience in finance and in particular investments in unlisted shares, Tario AB was founded in 2018 to change how you view and work with these types of shares and to lower the threshold for such investments. In addition to Tario automating the manual laying on of hands, we have created an open and transparent market so that both experienced and new investors can locate and trade their unlisted shares. With Tario, we want to contribute to increased liquidity for the investor as well as supporting new companies entering the market. This also extends beyond the Swedish market and our goal is to establish ourselves as the largest trading platform for unlisted equities in Europe!
