Peter Fox and his band kick off the events on Tuesday, 13 June, with their ‘Love Songs’ reflecting the various facets of life and love. His new sound is influenced by everything from African beats through R’n’B to ‘pink punk’.

Albert Konzerte is organising an extraordinary concert experience on Wednesday, 14 June. The Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra, led by general musical director André de Ridder, the Opera Choir of Freiburg Theatre and the Freiburg Bach Choir will be performing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, featuring star soprano Regula Mühle and leading international soloists.

Peter Maffay and his band are playing rock ’n’ roll hits in an open-air concert on Friday, 16 June. He has been performing for more than 50 years, with 20 number one albums under his belt, making him one of Germany’s most successful musicians.

Electronic sound in a historic setting: on Saturday, 17 June, there will be a rare German appearance by Carl Cox and the Worakls Orchestra. The British DJ and producer has dominated the electronic dance scene for four decades and puts on legendary parties.

The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra is closing the LIVE festival on Sunday, 18 June. They will be performing an eclectic mix of treats, ranging from delicate consort music to magnificent orchestral compositions. Alongside works by Schmelzer, Uccellini, Monteverdi and Vivaldi, the highlight of the evening is Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks (HWV 351).

Bächle Picnic on 26 May, 30 June and 28 July 2023

All that is left to do is pick out your favourite spot.
