Gambro acquires a leading renal care clinic in Argentina Gambro Healthcare S.A. of Argentina, a subsidiary of Gambro, has acquired 80% of the Argentinian integrated renal care services provider Nephrology S.A., which specializes in kidney transplantation, in- and out-patient services, pediatric kidney dialysis and is a leading training center for nephrologists. With a 13% marketshare throughout Argentina, Nephrology S.A. conducts an average of six to seven kidney transplants monthly and, since its inception, has performed a total of nearly 900 kidney transplants. Each year, over 460 patients receive pre- and post-kidney transplant care at the clinic. The acquisition is effective October 1, 1998.
