Gambro acquires clinic in West Virginia Stockholm, Sweden, September 25, 2000 - Gambro AB (OM Stockholm Exchange: GAMBaST, GAMBbST), a leading international medical technology and healthcare company, today announced that its wholly owned US subsidiary, Gambro Healthcare, Inc., ("Gambro") is in exclusive negotiations to acquire the dialysis services assets from St. Joseph's Hospital, located in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The clinic serves about 80 patients in the Parkersburg area and provides both hemodialysis treatments as well as homeservices. Gambro will also provide acute renal treatments at St. Joseph's. Dr. Matthew J. Godlewski will serve as the Medical Director for the new Gambro unit. St. Joseph's Hospital is a regional acute care facility located in Parkersburg, West Virginia, with a service area including three counties in Ohio and eight counties in West Virginia with a total population of 320,000.
