Gambro continues expansion of Renal Care Services business in the US Stockholm, Sweden - Gambro AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange: GAMBaST, GAMBbST), a leading international medical technology and healthcare company, today announced that it has acquired the dialysis unit of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center located in Hartford, Connecticut. The dialysis center provides outpatient hemodialysis and home treatment services to over 180 patients. Dialysis treatment and related patient services will continue to be under the supervision of the medical directors affiliated with Saint Francis. As part of this transaction, Gambro Healthcare has also contracted to provide acute dialysis services to Saint Francis. With this acquisition, Gambro now serves over 1,175 patients in the state of Connecticut and maintains its position as the leading provider of renal care services in that state.
