Gambro continues restructuring - divests Oklahoma factory Stockholm, Sweden - Gambro AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange: GAMBaST, GAMBbST), a leading international medical-technology and healthcare company, today announced the divestiture of a manufacturing operation for disposable dialysis products. This mainly includes a factory in Oklahoma City for the manufacturing of sorbent cartridges. The operations include about 30 employees and has a turnover of about SEK 50 M. The divestiture is a further step in the extensive restructuring and efficiency improvement program launched a month ago. The program among other things includes the consolidation of production units. Earlier a decision has been taken to transfer all manufacturing of renal care products from the units in Lakewood, Colorado and Newport News, Virginia to Mexico and Europe. This will affect about 450 employees. The objective of the group restructuring program is to reinforce Gambro's commitment to quality renal care and secure a continued good growth. In addi- tion the objective is to improve profitability and group operating margin (EBITDA) which should reach 20% at the close of the initial 24 month period of the program.
