Gambro makes direct sales of renal care products in Switzerland

Gambro makes direct sales of renal care products in Switzerland Stockholm, Sweden - Gambro AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange: GAMBaST, GAMBbST), a leading international medical technology and healthcare company, will as from October 1, 1999 make direct sales of Hospal brand products in Switzerland and Lichtenstein previously sold by Hausmann Spitalbedarf, which has been a sales agent on these markets. Annual sales represent about SEK 25 million. The transaction is part of the strategic restructuring program within the Renal Care Products business area and will substantially strengthen Gambro's market position in the Swiss region. As part of the strengthening of Gambro's sales operation, similar strategic consolidation moves have been taken in Brazil, Korea and the Nordic area during 1999.
