Gapwaves has received a new order for a new traffic monitoring project. The delivery includes design / development and production of 100 injectionmoulded antennas for a 77 GHz high-resolution radar intended for traffic monitoring. Total order value is approximately SEK 2.3 million and delivery is estimated for the fourth quarter of 2021.

The order is a follow-up to the collaboration that started at the end of 2020 between Gapwaves and a market-leading player in traffic radar. The prototypes developed so far in the collaboration have shown good performance and the customer is very eager to extend and deepen the collaboration with Gapwaves. As a continuation of the collaboration, the customer is now ordering a new project based on a new updated antenna specification. Initially, 100 antennas in injection molded metallized plastic will be delivered.

“We are very pleased with this new order, which proves that Gapwave's products stand strong in several applications for radar on millimeter waves. These new radar verticals are segments in rapid growth and we see that we have a technology that can help shape the next generation of radar products,”says Gapwave's CEO, Lars-Inge Sjöqvist.
