Gapwaves receives an order for high-resolution radar antennas from a new automotive Tier 1 customer
Gapwaves have received an order for a new project for 77 GHz antennas intended for automotive radar and thus begins cooperation with another of the largest suppliers to the automotive industry. The delivery includes design / development and production of antenna prototypes for a 77 GHz high-resolution radar. The value of the initial order is approximately 0.4MSEK and delivery is estimated for the third quarter of 2021.
The order is the first commercial collaboration with this customer. The project intends to develop antennas for a more advanced high-resolution automotive radar. A high-resolution radar can identify and distinguish between several different objects compared to today's radars. Furthermore, it can have a longer field of view that extends up to about 350 meters.
