The Gast Group – a member of the IDEX Corporation – will be launching three, completely re-engineered oil-less rocking piston air compressor and vacuum pump models at this year’s ComVac show at the Hannover Messe.
New to the Gast Group’s range of rocking piston compressors is the oil-less, twin-opposed 102R. Gast claims the new model will provide OEMs with the airflow rates of a standard piston, combined with benefits such as longer-life, quiet operation and ease-of-maintenance normally associated with a rocking piston.
The elegant and functional design of the compact 102R has been created with serviceability in mind, allowing the head assembly to be removed in a single piece and the pistons to easily slide out. Standard models feature a 1.1 kW dual-voltage motor and provide 120 lpm at 8 bar with a maximum airflow rate of 230 lpm. The vacuum pump version can reach a maximum vacuum of 65 mbar absolute pressure. Reduced flow models are also available and feature dual-voltage 0.5 or 0.75 kW motors.
The Gast Group will also launch two other new models at the ComVac show. The 86R and 87R extend the company’s already impressive range of rocking pistons and feature a new design with patent pending technology, which reduces noise output by over 5 decibels. Other features include a high-pressure crossover design with integrated die-cast construction, increased rigidity, angled head and twin seals.
The single cylinder model provides up to 62 lpm maximum airflow, with the twin cylinder model providing 125 lpm maximum airflow. Both models can reach a maximum pressure of 8.6 bar as standard and feature universal dual voltage motors for worldwide operation. Vacuum pump versions are designed for operation down to
-930 mbar.
Commenting for the Gast Group, European sales director Andre Goodson says: “The three new models enhance the Gast Group’s already extensive rocking piston range and help create new opportunities in the industrial, food & beverage, healthcare, medical, laboratory and automotive sectors.”
He goes onto explain that typical applications for the three new models include oxygen concentrators, beverage dispense, body fluid analysis, automotive suspension, sterilizers, tire inflation equipment and core drilling.
While product launches continue to form an essential part of the company’s approach, another important focus at ComVac is the Gast Group’s 2013 global strategy for increasing key customer support, as Andre explains: “The results of an extensive investment programme to be announced at the exhibition will include stock level improvements, reductions in lead times and a new approach to sales and service that will allow teams to focus more closely on the needs of customers and the distributor network in Europe.”

Auf der diesjährigen Hannover Messe wird die Gast Group – Teil der IDEX Corporation – im Bereich ComVac drei neue ölfreie Rocking Piston Kompressoren und Vakuumpumpen vorstellen.
Das Produktprogramm der Gast Rocking Piston Kompressoren wird durch den ölfreien Kompressor 102R mit zwei gegenüberliegenden Zylinderköpfen erweitert. Gast betont, daß dieser Kompressor neben den bekannten Eigenschaften der Rocking Piston Kompressoren (Langlebigkeit, geringe Betriebsgeräusche, einfache Wartung) die Fördermenge eines Standard-Kolbenkompressors gleicher Baugröße erreicht.
Das neue, funktionelle Design des kompakten 102R überzeugt durch seine Servicefreundlichkeit. Der Zylinderkopf kann in einem Teil ab- und die Kolben herausgenommen werden. Die Standardmodelle verfügen über einen 1,1 kW 230V/115V Motor. Das maximale Fördervolumen beträgt 230 l/min und beachtliche 120 l/min bei 8 bar; das maximale Vakuum beträgt 65 mbar absolut.
Weitere Modelle mit 0,5 und 0,75 kW Motoren mit reduzierter Fördermenge runden das Programm ab.
Des weiteren stellt die Gast Group ihre neuen Modelle 86R und 87R vor. Diese erweitern das umfangreiche Sortiment der Rocking Piston Kompressoren und erreichen aufgrund einer neuen patentieren Technologie eine Geräuschminderung von über 5 Dezibel.
Die Einzylinder-Modelle liefern eine Fördermenge bis zu 62 l/min; die Zweizylinder-Modelle bis zu 125 l/min. Die Kompressoren sind für Drücke bis 8,6 bar ausgelegt und für den weltweiten Einsatz standardmäßig mit 230V/115V Motoren ausgerüstet. Vakuumpumpen eignen sich speziell für Anwendungen bis -930 mbar.

Gast Group - membre d'IDEX Corporation - lancera cette année trois modèles entièrement nouveaux de compresseurs et pompes à vide à pistons oscillants lors du salon ComVac qui se tiendra au sein de la Foire de Hanovre.
Nouveau au sein la gamme de compresseurs à pistons oscillants sans huile Gast, le modèle 102R est un appareil à deux pistons opposés. Gast prétend que le nouveau modèle permettra d'offrir aux OEM les débits d'air d'un compresseur à pistons standard, combiné aux avantages normalement associés aux pistons oscillants tels qu'une plus longue durée de vie, un fonctionnement silencieux et une facilité d'entretien.
Le design élégant et fonctionnel du compresseur compact 102R a été conçu en pensant à la facilité de maintenance, qui permet de retirer en une seule pièce le bloc de compression et d'atteindre facilement les pistons. Les modèles standards sont équipés d'un moteur 1,1 kW bi-tension et fournissent 120 l/min à 8 bar avec un débit d'air maximum de 230 l/min. La version pompe à vide peut atteindre un vide maximum de 65 mbar de pression absolue. Des modèles à débit réduit sont également disponibles et sont dotés de moteurs bi-tension de 0,5 ou 0,75 kW.
Gast Group lancera également deux autres nouveaux modèles au salon ComVac. Les 86R et 87R viennent agrandir la gamme déjà très étendue d'appareils à pistons oscillants de l'entreprise et proposent un nouveau design avec une technologie brevetée qui permet une réduction du niveau sonore de plus de 5 décibels. Ces appareils se caractérisent aussi par leur culasse à haute résistance moulée sous pression, leur rigidité accrue, leurs angles arrondis et leurs joints de cylindre jumelés.
Le modèle monocylindre fournit débit d'air maximal de 62 l/min et le modèle à deux cylindres un débit maximal de 125 l/min. Les deux modèles peuvent atteindre une pression maximale de 8,6 bar en standard et disposent de moteurs électriques à double tension et fréquence pour un fonctionnement dans le monde entier. Les versions pompes à vide sont conçus pour un fonctionnement jusqu'à -930 mbar.
Commentant au nom de Gast Group, le Directeur des Ventes Europe André Goodson déclare: «Les trois nouveaux modèles viennent renforcer la gamme déjà étendue d'appareils à pistons oscillants de Gast et créent de nouveaux débouchés dans les secteurs industriel, agro-alimentaire, de la santé, des laboratoires et de l'automobile."
Il poursuit en indiquant que les applications typiques pour ces trois nouveaux modèles comprennent notamment les concentrateurs d'oxygène, la distribution de boissons, l'analyse in-vitro, les suspensions automobiles, les stérilisateurs, les appareils de gonflage et de carottage.
Alors que les lancements de produits continuent de constituer une part essentielle de la démarche de l'entreprise, un autre point important présenté à ComVac 2013 est pour Gast Group la stratégie globale d'accroissement du soutien à la clientèle comme l'explique André Goodson: «Les conséquences de notre ambitieux programme d'investissement qui sera présenté lors de l'exposition incluront l'accroissement des niveaux de stocks, la réduction des délais et une nouvelle approche de la vente et du service permettant aux équipes commerciales de se concentrer davantage sur les besoins des clients et du réseau de distribution en Europe.
