GE Energy invites you to a press conference with Victor Abate, Vice President of Renewable Energy at the European Offshore Wind Conference in Stockholm

You are cordially invited to participate in a press conference with Victor Abate, vice president of Renewable Energy for GE Energy on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 3:30 pm. Mr. Abate is visiting Stockholm and the European Offshore Wind 2009 Conference to officially announce GE’s completion of the acquisition of ScanWind, a developer of direct drive technology for offshore wind turbines. In addition, Mr. Abate will talk about how ScanWind represents the next strategic fit for GE’s wind turbine portfolio and GE’s initial plans to further develop this proven technology. GE views offshore wind as one of the fastest growing parts of the wind power segment over the next decade. Industry experts predict a 20-fold increase, from an installed base of 1.5 GW in 2008 to 30 GW by 2020, with much of that growth taking place in Europe. Members of the ScanWind management team and local GE executives will join Mr. Abate at the press conference.
