Genel Energy plc (‘Genel’ or ‘the Company’) announces that Chakib Sbiti has indicated his intention to retire from the Board of Genel at the AGM in June 2017. 

Chakib Sbiti has served over six years at Genel as Non-Executive Director and more recently as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.  The Nomination Committee will review the composition of the Remuneration Committee in due course.

Tony Hayward, Chairman of Genel Energy, said:
