Who are the Most Popular Twitch Streamers for March 2022?

Report this content

Twitch, now a part of Amazon following their 2014 purchase of the streaming platform, remains something of a unicorn online. While the website does face competition from YouTube Gaming and Facebook Gaming, Twitch’s rivals aren’t exactly known for putting up much resistance. After all, Twitch has already done away with Microsoft’s Mixer, a site that once paid US$50 million for Fortnite streamer Ninja.

Who are March’s Most Popular Streamers?

Who will be Twitch’s top talent for March 2022, though? Below are the top personalities on the platform, with the corporations and major eSports teams omitted.

Ibai

One of Twitch's top 20 earners, Ibai, is a Spanish content creator notable for his interviews with various footballers, a list that currently includes the likes of Gerard Piqué, Ronaldinho, and Sergio Agüero. Ibai currently holds the record for the second-most concurrent viewers of all time, with just over 1.5 million. This figure keeps him ever so slightly below fellow compatriot streamer TheGrefg, who is in first place. While Twitch is known for its gaming videos, Ibai's greatest success actually comes from streaming (real-life) boxing.

Asmongold

A bit of a phenomenon, having increased his average viewership by 10,000% over the past 30 days, Asmongold is a World of Warcraft-streamer who recently 'rage-quit' the MMO to play Elden Ring and Amazon Game Studios' Lost Ark. The American has been active on Twitch since around five years ago and was a vocal supporter of World of Warcraft Classic, a WoW client that re-made the game in an older state. Asmongold has 2.8 million followers on Twitch, as of March 2022.

n3koglai

Making the most of a gap in the market - namely, the Eastern European one - n3koglai managed to grow his audience prodigiously in just a few months. The newcomer plays CS:GO, Dota 2, Grand Theft Auto V, and virtual casino games on stream, but spends most of his time on air in the Just Chatting area of Twitch. In terms of numbers, n3koglai has 2.2 million followers, although his user base has seen a recent (small) decline in recent weeks.

Casimito

Brazilian streamer Casimito is a well-known figure on the internet. Similar to Ibai, Casimito also covers real sports in addition to the virtual ones depicted in FIFA 21. His work with TNT Sports Brasil completes Casimito's profile, to date. Also, his acquisition of viewers reached meteoric levels in the week of January 20-27, when a peak audience of 545,599 people was recorded. This was up from an average of about 40,000. Perhaps inevitably, viewership figures have been in decline ever since.

Gaules

Reportedly the "world's most-watched streamer", Gaules is an ex-CS:GO eSports player and coach who has amassed significant popularity in his native Brazil. While dabbling in sports streams like NBA, Gaules usually broadcasts CS:GO and Valorant games 24 hours a day. The streamer has 3.3 million followers, as of the time of writing, which places him in the top 50 worldwide but third overall on Portuguese Twitch, behind Nobru and Alanzoka.

When it comes to the trends in games, March looks set to be the month of Elden Ring and Lost Ark. There are precious few other new titles in the rankings, apart from FIFA 22 (#14) and Dying Light 2: Stay Human (#20).
