Today Inteno announces the release of CG300, a product that quite possibly redefines what a residential gateway is.

In addition to host the latest technology in a tiny form factor the CG300 is extremely versatile with regards to enabling service providers to bringing new services to the consumer.

The CG300 is powered by iopsys, Inteno’s open source based software platform for embedded devices. This means that consumers can communicate with their homes from wherever they might be by downloading apps and connecting devices such as sensors, cameras, local storage etc.

Conny Franzén, CEO of the Inteno group says: ”The release of the CG300 is a logical step ahead in realizing our vision of Internet of things in combination with traditional triple play services. Everything in the connected home should be integrated and accessible from different devices, regardless of where you are. With CG300 and iopsys this is now a reality”.

He also points out that the product can be used in many more areas.

”The CG300 is our chameleon. While it is obviously a state-of-the-art Ethernet gateway, it can also be used as a range extender for another iopsys based gateway. Flawless Wi-Fi performance will be a key issue going forward, and with CG300 and the iopsys Wifi Max app any customer can analyze, expand and optimize their Wi-Fi network at home or in the office”, says Conny Franzén.
