Open source is the main theme when the Faultline newsletter draws attention to Inteno Group's success.

Rethink has been publishing, forecasting and consulting since 2002 and are best known for their articles produced for the research services; Wireless Watch (5G and wireless networks), Faultline (entertainment ecosystem and streaming media), and Rethink Energy (technology disruption in renewables and energy transition).

In the latest edition of the newsletter Faultline, Inteno is highlighted as a loud advocate in favor of open source operating systems for residential gateways.

In the article, Inteno CEO Conny Franzén, declares that “The open source winds are blowing” and refers to BT as one of the customers of the IOPSYS open source SDK.

Franzén also compares the IOPSYS SDK to what Android delivers with its mobile OS empire.

“To improve customer satisfaction, we need low and high-level open APIs. When we get this, nothing can stop the industry from delivering future services”, says Conny Franzén.

Inteno Group is headquartered in Stockholm with operations through subsidiaries in Europe. IOPSYS is the company behind IOWRT, an open source hardware-independent software that enables broadband operators to offer next-generation services independent of CPE platforms. Genexis offers user-friendly and easy-to-install broadband products in the fiber-to-the-home and WiFi segments. The products are based on market-leading technology, have a patented design and are fully manageable using the company's CloudSight platform.
