Gent celebrates the 15th anniversary of its Gent 24 network
Gent by Honeywell, the leading manufacturer of innovative fire safety solutions, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its pioneering Gent 24 network of approved system integrators. Since its launch in 2000, it has set the benchmark for excellence within the fire detection and alarm sector and now boasts 90 partners, all of which operate at the pinnacle of their profession.
As a result of this initiative, Gent benefits from working with some of the UK’s leading specialist system integrators, something that also gives end users competitive choice and quality assurance. Now considered the industry’s ultimate badge of quality, companies that form the Gent 24 network are all fully trained and approved and each member undergoes a rigorous assessment process.
In the 15 years of Gent 24, the company has achieved a variety of product innovations and industry firsts. S-Quad was the first loop powered multifunctional device to include a sensor, sounder, speech and visual alarm; Vigilon’s loop length was increased to 2km and Gent was the first manufacturer to offer loop powered EN54-23 visual alarms. In January 2015 Gent also launched a loop diagnostics tool for the network supporting smarter servicing, commissioning and fault finding.
Commenting on the success of Gent 24, John Lewis, Gent’s commercial sales director commented, ‘I’m incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the last 15 years and the excellent relationship we continue to have with our approved system integrators that we work with every day. We are committed to offering unrivalled levels of pre- and post-sales service, technical support and training to ensure that end users benefit from state-of-the-art technology that is installed and maintained to the very highest standards.’
