AGM Statement

FOR RELEASE AT 1200HRS THURSDAY 30TH MAY 2002 GETMAPPING plc -ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING At the Annual General Meeting of Getmapping plc ("Getmapping/the Company") held today at its Hartley Wintney offices it was announced that the Company's founder chairman, Joe Studholme, having passed the normal retirement age by eighteen months would, as envisaged, be standing down both as Chairman of the Board of Getmapping and as a non- executive director of the company with effect from 30th May 2002. Commenting, Joe Studholme said: 'As one of the co-founders of Getmapping I am delighted to have played a significant part in bringing the company to this stage in its development. I remain confident about Getmapping's long term prospects and as a major shareholder I will continue to maintain a close association with the company, albeit in a private capacity.' Arrangements for the appointment of Joe Studholme's successor as Chairman are already well underway. Until they are complete Tristram Cary, the Company's Managing Director, will assume the additional role of Chairman of the Board on an interim basis. The Company also announced that it had been informed by the High Court that judgement on its application for an Interim Injunction against Ordnance Survey would be published on Friday 31st May. Getmapping will be making a full statement about the judgement shortly thereafter.
