From 8 to 10 February 2023, GF Piping Systems will exhibit piping solutions dedicated to ripening rooms, controlled environments, fruit storage as well as vertical farming at FRUIT LOGISTICA in Berlin, the global platform that shares new ideas, new input, and new solutions for the fresh produce sector.

The world’s population keeps growing and climate change additionally threatens global food security. Hence, the fresh produce sector is increasingly relying on modern technology to meet demand and ensure a reliable food supply. To maximize the potential of produce and save resources, efficient cooling and vertical farming concepts play a particularly important role. At FRUIT LOGISTICA 2023 in Berlin, Germany, GF Piping Systems will show solutions that make both cooling and vertical farming applications efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective.

The Swiss flow solutions provider will have COOL-FIT 4.0 on display, a completely pre-insulated plastic piping system that optimizes commercial and industrial refrigeration applications. It features a three-in-one design consisting of a PE100 carrier pipe, a highly efficient and vapor-tight insulating foam, and a high-density polyethylene outer jacket. The carrier pipe is corrosion- and maintenance-free while smooth inner surfaces prevent deposits. Furthermore, the combination of the highly efficient foam and the low thermal conductivity of polyethylene leads to a 30% higher energy efficiency than metal alternatives. For installers, the 65% lower weight of COOL-FIT 4.0 and the pre-insulated construction result in a 50% faster installation time.

The company will also display complete solutions that support vertical farming concepts. These include the piping systems PROGEF and PVC-U. PROGEF is a polypropylene system that is highly durable thanks to high-stress crack resistance as well as pressure, abrasion, corrosion, and temperature resistance up to 80°C. GF Piping Systems’ PVC-U portfolio, on the other hand, features an especially high chemical resistance with a temperature range between 0° and 60°C. It is manufactured with a bio-based resin which can reduce the CO2 emissions during production by up to 90%. In addition, visitors will be able to experience process automation solutions designed to intelligently monitor and control parameters such as flow, pH values, pressure, temperature, and levels.

Kevin Blumberg, Senior Global Business Development Manager Cooling at GF Piping Systems, emphasizes the importance of FRUIT LOGISTICA for the company: “For the fresh produce sector, piping systems play a key role in a number of applications ranging from food production to refrigeration. As experts for efficient plastic piping systems, we can provide long-lasting, cost-effective, and sustainable products that help the sector to become future proof.”

Join GF Piping Systems at FRUIT LOGISTICA in Berlin from 8 to 10 February at stand B-44 in Hall 4.1. You can find more information and book tickets here.
