GHP acquires Urologcentrum
As part of the process of strengthening and broadening GHP’s position in Stockholm, GHP has acquired the well-reputed Urologcentrum clinic in Liljeholmen. Urology is an important diagnostic area where free choice of care is being introduced in Stockholm and the patients have increasingly high demands.
Urologcentrum investigates and treats most urological conditions and is one of the major urological centres in Stockholm. It has good opportunities for expansion. The clinic is easily accessible in the Liljeholmstorget shopping centre. The clinic was started in 2003 by the Head of the Clinic, Lennart Wagrell, a urology specialist, and the CEO, Catarina Matz. The clinic is at the leading edge of development of treatment of benign prostate enlargement and is the only clinic in Sweden that offers a new minimally invasive method, with very good results.
“Urologcentrum is a very exciting addition that shares GHP’s focus on quality through specialisation. Urology is an underprovided for specialty where there is great demand on the part of both insurance companies and the public sector, which means that we see great opportunities to develop and grow the business,” says GHP’s CEO, Daniel Öhman.
“I look forward to developing the business together with GHP. There are many exciting opportunities for us to grow together,” says Lennart Wagrell, Head of the Clinic at Urologcentrum.
The acquisition of Urologcentrum is expected to have a positive, though not substantial, impact on GHP’s results for 2016.
