GHP inaugurated a new outpatient clinic in Stockholm
GHP inaugurated their new outpatient clinic at Garnisonen in Stockholm last week. Stockholm Spine Center and Ortho Center Stockholm will be able to expand their business there in 32 new doctors’ offices.
The GHP clinics, Stockholm Spine Center and Ortho Center Stockholm, conduct their leading spine and orthopaedic business operations at Löwenströmska Hospital but certain operations have previously also been carried out in central Stockholm. The business in central Stockholm has now moved into new and larger facilities at Garnisonen in Stockholm, which makes it possible to increase the range of treatments offered and handle the increased flow of patients with health insurance. Together with the new free choice of care for specialised rehabilitation, this is an opportunity for the clinic to also be able to take care of the very severest back injuries that cannot be treated through surgery.
The official inauguration of the clinic on Karlavägen was held last week and the facility includes 32 new doctors’ offices and a fitness center. It also accommodates about 35 employees, including 5 doctors, 12 physiotherapists and 4 psychologists. In total, nearly 20,000 appointments per year will be handled by this centrally located clinic.
The new facilities provide excellent conditions for Stockholm Spine Center to conduct so-called “multimodal rehabilitation of chronic pain and fatigue syndromes”. This means that critically ill patients who cannot be treated surgically can undergo a rehabilitation program that includes a CBT psychologist, a physiotherapist and a pain management doctor. The new clinic has also made it possible for Ortho Center Stockholm to start an “arthritic school” for patients with osteoarthritis.
