Global Health Partner sells clinic in Bergen
Global Health Partner (GHP) is selling all of its holding in the clinic in Bergen, Norway, to Capio. The business comprises spine and obesity surgery and is run at Ulriksdal Sykehus. “The sale is in line with GHP’s strategy of increasing the focus on the Group’s core holdings and we are convinced that Capio will be a good owner for the clinic in Bergen,” says Marianne Dicander Alexandersson, CEO of Global Health Partner.
The clinic in Bergen conducts spine surgery and obesity surgery and was formed in 2004. GHP has been a partner in the clinic since 2006. It is centrally located in Bergen and serves both publicly funded and private paying patients.
The clinic at Ulriksdal Sykehus has been GHP’s only business in Norway and as part of the increased focus on the Group’s core holdings GHP has decided to divest the clinic. The preliminary capital gain on the transaction amounts to approximately SEK 10 million.
GHP runs specialist clinics in the following selected diagnostic areas: orthopaedics, spine surgery/spine care, specialist dentistry, obesity surgery and metabolic diseases, and arrhythmia.
Provided that approval is obtained from the Norwegian Competition Authority, the actual transfer will take place just after the New Year.
