Skandia and GHP collaboration gives efficient health care

Skandia and GHP have entered into exclusive collaboration regarding health care for spine, shoulder and hip patients in Stockholm. The aim is to further improve care for Skandia’s private health insurance customers through a more coherent chain of care.

“In the future GHP will ensure that the customer obtains help for his current injury from the right specialist, that is to say care at the right level, and is taken care of until an examination and treatment have been completed. This means that our customers get better service and greater continuity”, says Jan Karlsson, Head of Risk and Health at Skandia.

GHP is one of the largest private health care providers within specialist care in Sweden and the care will be followed up by measuring both customer satisfaction and medical indicators. The collaboration concerns insurance policy holders resident in Stockholm County who have spine, shoulder or hip problems, but the aim is to be able to offer this both in more places and for more diagnoses.

“The advantage of a coherent chain of care is that the customer knows both where to turn if he/she has any questions and how the process is progressing. It will be a holistic way of thinking that will benefit all parties,” says Daniel Öhman, CEO of GHP.

The clinics that will be included in the collaboration are GHP Stockholm Spine Center, which is the largest clinic in Sweden for the treatment of spine problems, and GHP Ortho Center Stockholm, which is one of Sweden’s leading orthopaedic clinics.

Skandia is one of the largest suppliers of private health care insurance in Sweden. Besides offering health care insurance, Skandia also offers preventive health care through its health insurance.
