Gill Wind Tunnel achieves independent UKAS Accreditation
The Gill Merlin wind tunnel has successfully been accredited by The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for the calibration of velocity instruments.UKAS accreditation certifies that the quality, process and operation of the tunnel equipment complies with safety and confidence standards, traceable to ISO 17025.
The Gill high speed wind tunnel named ‘Merlin’ was designed and built by Gill engineers and is now one of the fastest instrumentation wind speed tunnels in Europe, with a maximum mean tunnel velocity of 110 m/s (246mph/396kph).
