KYRO POWER HAS SOLD ITS HYDROPOWER BUSINESS AND DISTRICT HEATING DISTRIBUTION
COMPANY

Kyro Group´s energy producer Kyro Power has, according to a letter of intent
signed on 3 November 2005, sold its Hämeenkyrö-based hydropower business and
related balance sheet items to Kyröskosken Voima Oy.

Kyro Power has also sold the share capital of its subsidiary, Hämeenkyrön Lämpö
Oy, to Leppäkosken Sähkö Oy. Hämeenkyrön Lämpö Oy operates as a district heating
distribution company in the Hämeenkyrö municipal area.

The total debt-free sale price of the operations sold is approximately 26.8
million euros. The profit before taxes, recognized in Kyro´s financial result for
2005, is approximately 12.5 million euros. The operations sold represent a total
share of 2.3 million euros in net sales and 0.8 million euros in operating profit
on Kyro´s income statement for 2005 by the time of the sales.

No personnel have been transferred in connection with either sale. Kyro Power
will continue heat production for the district heating network after the sale of
Hämeenkyrön Lämpö Oy.

The sale of the electricity producing hydropower plant and the district heating
distribution company is in line with the objectives of the Partner project,
initiated by Kyro in October 2004 and still ongoing. Its purpose is to find for
Kyro's Energy business area partnership or ownership arrangements that contribute
to its competitiveness.

Kyro Power is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyro Corporation. After the sale of
the hydropower business and the district heating distribution company, Kyro Power
comprises a gas-fired power plant that produces heat, steam and electricity
mainly for industrial use.
