ORDERS WORTH EUR 23.5 MILLION FOR GLASTON TECHNOLOGIES IN
DECEMBER 2003

Kyro’s main business area, Glaston Technologies, received
machinery orders in December 2003 worth EUR 23,5 million. Considering
the strong strengthening of the euro against, e.g., the US
dollar, the order book of Glaston Technologies was in December
31, 2003 at a very good level, totalling EUR 58.8 million
(September 31, 2003: EUR 60.3 million).

Tamglass’ share of the received machinery orders was EUR 18.1 million.
Orders were received from all market areas. Demand was
especially strong in the United States where the investment
atmosphere has been improving clearly during the last quarter
of 2003. The demand for Z. Bavelloni pre-processing machines
increased in the third quarter and the growth continued in
October-December 2003.

Glaston Technologies consists of a global glass processing
machinery business and a local glass processing business
focusing on the markets in Finland and neighbouring areas. The
machinery business includes Tamglass, the market and
technology leader in safety glass machines; Z. Bavelloni, the
leading supplier of pre-processing machines and tools and
Uniglass Engineering, a supplier of flat glass tempering
machines.

Kyro will issue its financial statement for the financial
period 1 January – 31 December 2003 on 4 February 2004.
