Steve Rust Joins Global IP Solutions as Vice President of Business Development

San Francisco — June 11, 2007 — Global IP Solutions (GIPS), the leading provider of embedded media processing solutions, announced today the appointment of Steve Rust as vice president of GIPS business development. Mr. Rust is responsible for future alliances, mergers and acquisitions.

Steve previously worked at 3Com – a leading provider of secure, converged voice and data networking solutions for enterprises. He helped lead several deals for 3Com including the acquisition of a major joint venture in China for an equity valuation of $1.8 billion. Rust also led the acquisition of TippingPoint, a high-growth network security company for over $400 million.

Mr. Rust graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Finance from Santa Clara University and he holds an MBA from Wharton.
