Franco Fedeli proposed as new Board member Stockholm, Sweden-January 26, 2000 - The Board of Glocalnet has resolved to propose to its Extraordinary General Meeting that Franco Fedeli, CEO of Svenska Koppar AB (publ), be appointed to the company's Board. Svenska Koppar AB acquired 200,000 shares in Glocalnet from Netnet Europe AB after Stefan Krook and Andrin Bachmann announced their intention to waive their pre-emption rights in accordance with the shareholders' agreement between the two and Netnet Europe AB. Coincident with their acquisition, the shares acquired by Svenska Koppar AB will be reclassified from class A to class B. Before such reclassification, the holding corresponded to 5.6 per cent of the capital and 21 per cent of the votes. After reclassification, the shares comprise 2.6 per cent of the votes. "Franco Fedeli has unique experience and an invaluable contact network within IT and telecom in Scandinavia. The main owners are in full agreement that Franco will be an extremely valuable resource in the Board's work now that we are gearing up operations further," said Stefan Krook, CEO and one of Glocalnet's main owners. The Board has also set the date for the Extraordinary General Meeting, which is to consider the appointment of Franco Fedeli and the previously proposed private placement. The EGM will be held on 16 February at 4 p.m. Glocalnet AB, quoted on Aragon Fondkommission's Reuters page, is a next- generation telecom player. Glocalnet markets its services in close collaboration with local market partners including Birka Energi and Bredbandsbolaget.
