GLOCALNET INTRODUCES PREFIX Starting on the 2 nd of February 1999, Glocalnet and its Swedish business partners will be offering services via the prefix 9508. In connection with the introduction of the prefix, Glocalnet will also introduce a facsimile service. Introduction of the prefix means that the code 9508 is dialed before the number of destination whereby the call is automatically connected via Glocalnet. In September 1998 the Post & Telestyrelsen (PTS), "The Swedish Postal & Telecommunications Board", introduced a new prefix system of four digits as one step towards the introduction of equal access in Sweden. Glocalnet will now become one of the first operators in Sweden to offer the prefix in accordance with the new system. "The prefix is an important stage in our endeavour to simplify usage of our telecommunication services. This service will be actively marketed from the start by Stockholm Telecom, our subsidiary and business partner with Stockholm Energi," says Stefan Krook, Chief Executive Officer of Glocalnet.
