GO4THEGOAL PEDIATRIC CANCER FOUNDATION FUNDS $100,000.00 RESEARCH GRANT TO DR. ALLISON O’NEILL AT DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE

MARCH 14, 2013 – Merchantville, NJ: Go4theGoal announces their first research grant of 2013 has been awarded to Dr. Allison O’Neill at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for the amount of $100,000.00.  This grant will help further Dr. O’Neill’s research for finding a targeted therapy to treat Ewing’s Sarcoma.

“It is an honor to bestow this award to Dr. Allison O’Neill on behalf of Go4theGoal.  She represents the best and brightest of research scientists working to find cures for pediatric cancers by advancing knowledge in breakthrough therapies and diagnosis”, said Dr. Andrew Mulberg, Director of Go4theGoal’s Medical Advisory Board.

“We are delighted to begin this new and fruitful partnership with the Go 4 the Goal Foundation as we expound on previous studies utilizing a targeted approach to enhancing the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Ewing Sarcoma," said Dr. Allison O’Neill, pediatric oncologist at Dana-Farber.  “If successful, this project may deliver therapy directly to sites of disease, spare patients from systemic toxicity, and improve the long-term survival for patients with metastatic disease."
