Jens Maaløe becomes Chairman in GomSpace
GomSpace Group can today announce that the Board of Directors has been reconstituted by the request of the Chairman Jukka Pertola. Jens Maaløe has been appointed to serve as Chair of the reconstituted Board, whereas Jukka Pertola will continue as the Vice Chair. The rest of the Board will continue as today.
Jukka Pertola comments: ”Since I became a professional board member, I have been lucky to be invited to multiple boards of exciting companies. However, in Europe and in Denmark, a growing focus on good corporate governance is casting a critical view on how many board positions one should have. To address the worries, I have decided to reduce the number of my board positions and Chairmanships.
Fortunately, in the last AGM, we were able to recruit an exceptionally strong new board member; Jens Maaløe, and consequently it is now natural to nominate him as the Chair.
Jens has comprehensive C-level management and board experience of technology companies, thereof 16 years as the President & CEO of Terma A/S, one of the leading tech companies in Denmark. He has a strong heritage in developing products and systems for a number of civilian and military applications, incl. air traffic management systems and systems for space and aircraft applications, and thus he is the best choice for ensuring the further development of GomSpace. I will continue in the board supporting Jens as the Vice Chair.”
