Fuel saving capabilities key to Turners (Soham) changing tyre and service provider for the first time in over 20 years.

Turners (Soham), one of the largest haulage companies in the UK has signed a three-year-deal contract with Goodyear Dunlop tyres.

The leading logistics company decided to change its tyre and service for the first time in 20 years after being impressed with the Goodyear products fuel saving capabilities.

The deal sees the family company fit its 1000 vehicles and 1400 trailers with not only the KMax and FuelMax but Goodyear’s retreads, TreadMax. Turners are also taking full advantage of Goodyear Dunlop’s dedicated TruckForce service to support the business drive to reduce vehicle down times and further enhance customer service.

Commenting on the change, Group Fleet Engineer, Tim King said: “For our business, changing the service provider was a decision that took much deliberation; we had been in partnership with our previous provider for over 20 years. Goodyear presented a bespoke package that supplies us with innovative tyres that are set to reduce our spending on fuel without compromising in any other areas. This is the perfect partnership for us as an organisation with innovation and efficiency being at the forefront of everything we do. Goodyear Dunlop’s renound service offering, TruckForce will also support the fleet ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum and we are getting the best out of our tyres, which will help us deliver even further on customer service.”

Commenting on the deal, Marc Preedy, Goodyear Commercial Tyres Director said: “The deal with the major UK Logistics provider Turners (Soham) is a further endorsement of the premium products and services we have to offer. We are excited about working closely with Turners over the next 3-years and beyond we will look to continually develop our partnership with them to deliver a package which suits their business needs.”
