Swedish a cappella choir Gosskören returns to Bangkok for the love of thai pop
The Swedish a cappella choir Gosskören (The little boys choir) is now embarking on our third tour to Thailand. From 13to 18 of October we will perform X gigs at the prestigious St Regis in Bangkok.
When Gosskören toured Thailand in May 2014 a video of us singing the famous Thai hit Jai Glarng Kwarm Roo Seuk Dee Dee (ใจกลางความรู้สึกดีๆ) on the MRT on our way to a gig struck a chord with the youngsters of BKK. The video got a staggering 40 000 views in a only a few hours along with thousands of likes and comments in various social medias.
This sparked the love of Thai music even more in the choir. Now we are back with a new ace up our sleeve. With a Scandinavian touch combined with Do-Ther-Tum (Doo Doo Doo) we hope once again to arouse thai pop lovers.
Gosskören is a Swedish a cappella choir started in 1996. Over the years we have performed in all parts of the world singing for kings, princesses, princes and the occasional common man. However the times we have visited Thailand stand clearly above the rest. The enthusiasm and love that we have met here surpasses the wildest expectations we have had.
- None of us speak Thai but we love the rhythm of the language and the special thai groove. This is why we want to come back says Choir leader Überknabe Alexander Kärnsund.
We describe our concept as a mix between pop and rock’n roll a cappella mixed with stand up comedy. This concept has proven to be very successful and has given us much success over the years.
Although the choir holds very high quality standards it is not a professional choir, the members are made up of doctors, teachers, bankers and even a real professor, we are also great boyfriend/lover material.
- We are eager to meet you and perform our international hits in our own versions along with our new Thai songs. As a next step we are considering making a full album of Thai pop covers says Alexander Kärnsund.

Monday 13 through – Friday 17th October at the St Regis bar as well as the Charity Ball Gala Night October 18.
