Anders Olsson.
Gotessons, based in Ulricehamn, is a leading design company with
a focus on interior design products for office, hotel and conference
venues. This year the company has sales of approx. 23,5 million with
an export share exceeding 60 %. The principal owner is Connecting
Capital (70 %), Johan Götesson (15 %), and John De Boer, Tomas
Svensson, Emil Johansson with 5 % each.
After more than ten years as CEO, Johan Götesson now opts to
change his role at the company.
“I brought it up with the board a year ago, and now we have found
the right person for the job. The last ten years has been an amazing
journey. We have released new products and concepts that customers
have embraced. The proof of this? During these years we have
increased sales from 4 to over 23 million”, says Johan Götesson.
“Such an increase in turnover put great demands on everyday leadership,
and as a result I’ve had to cut back on what is my passion –
marketing, business and product development. With my new role I will
have more time to be creative”, says Johan and points out that being
creative is incredibly important for Götessons continued development.
Gotessons new CEO, Anders Olsson, has extensive leadership experience
from various industries, both from small and fast-growing
companies with entrepreneurial spirit, to listed companies with
10,000+ employees.
He has worked in the interior design industry as Managing Director
of Martela Sweden and Norway for 7 years. Anders joins us from
the IT company EVRY where he was Senior Vice President. He has
also worked as Business Area Manager at IBS, and has held several
senior roles within SYSteam. Anders’ experience of the IT industry
has given him a deep understanding of the digitizing that is taking
place within the interior design industry.
“From my time as CEO of Martela Sweden and Norway, I know
Gotessons and Johan very well. Being in the same industry, we’ve
followed each other over the years, but we have also made a number
of large deals together which welded us together. It is with great
pleasure that I take on this challenge to continue the success of the
company”, says Anders Olsson.
The principal owner, Connecting Capital, is pleased with the recruitments.
“Johan Götesson have really accomplished something
great with the company however when he raised the issue, we felt
that it was time to top the team with a new CEO and Johan as the
new creative director”, says Lars Nordin, chairman of the board at
Gotessons.
Gotessons aims to grow, both through organic growth and through
strategic acquisitions. “With the new management constellation, we
at Connecting Capital, believe that Gotessons is poised for such
growth.” concludes Lars Nordin.
Anders Olsson and Johan Götesson assume their new positions
today, 14 November.
