Goyada develops mobile pay services for QXL.se Sweden - the pilot market preceding potential European launch Sweden is the pioneer market where Goyada, a Swedish m-commerce company, launches mobile pay services. One of the first partners is QXL, Sweden's largest on-line auction site. The collaboration with Goyada provides QXL with the opportunity to offer additional attractive services to their members, while also generating new revenue streams. For Goyada, the collaboration means that the company will be commercialising more of its own services and also opening up a new and important way of earning money. Offering your visitors attractive mobile pay services is a new way to increase profitability. The international auction site QXL has realised this, which is why the company has entered the collaboration with the Swedish company Goyada. "Through the collaboration with Goyada, our visitors gain access to a wider range of popular services. At the same time, this provides an additional way of earning money, both for QXL and Goyada. Moreover, given these services are appreciated by our users, which everything indicates, we aim at launching other solutions with Goyada," says Anders Norling, MD of QXL Sweden. Using a business model that is similar to I-mode, Goyada can now offer smaller content providers a unique platform for mobile payment services. "Nowadays, anyone can develop a WAP service. However, interactive SMS services require an entirely different infrastructure. That is exactly the platform Goyada can offer, and in addition connect a range of convenient payment alternatives. The days when mobile content was free of charge are behind us," says Per Morten Karlsen, MD of Goyada. Goyada's platform for mobile-related services has offered the service Yadafuel successfully for close to a year. The Yadafuel service enables users to buy top-up codes for prepay-phones over the Internet, and this has, up until now, been the only permanent pay service provided on Goyada's platform. With addition of the YadaServices suit to the platform, a wide range of attractive pay services are introduced. This enables services such as downloading ring tones and logos to your mobile phone, participating in games and quizzes and even an SMS-based dating service. In order to use one of these services, the visitor dials a specified premium rate number. The cost for the call, which is the cost that the user pays to gain access to the service, is shared between the network operator, the company offering the service, the content provider and Goyada. "The mobile service market is expanding rapidly. This year, the market for these services is expected to be worth around 1.8 billion euro. The demand for mobile services, both from the commercial sites and from their visitors, is completely different now compared to six months ago. We anticipate being able to enter a large number of similar business agreements in the near future," says Per Morten Karlsen. Goyada is currently engaged in discussions with several international partners. These potential partners can provide the capital and strategic expertise that will enable further development and commercialisation of the company's portfolio of services. The deal values discussed are in the range of Euro 10-11 million.
