Gradientech Granted Trademark for QuickMIC from United States Patent and Trademark Office

Uppsala, August 29, 2019. Gradientech AB today announces the trademark approval from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for QuickMIC®, its diagnostic system for ultrarapid antibiotic susceptibility testing. The registered trademark (Reg. No. 5817189) covers two classes for goods and services: Chemical and biological reagents for medical and veterinary use (IC 005) and diagnostic apparatus and instruments for analyzing cellular responses for medical and veterinary use (IC 010).

Sara Thorslund, CEO of Gradientech, commented on QuickMIC's recent trademark status: "The registered trademark not only will protect our intellectual property, but it will also strengthen the reputation of our company and help customers distinguish QuickMIC from other products when we enter the clinical microbiology market with our innovative diagnostic system".

QuickMIC is already a registered trademark in Europe.
